Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Fix4me (the "Service"), operated by Fix4me ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Fix4me is a browser extension and web application that uses artificial intelligence to polish, format, summarize, and translate text on any webpage. The Service requires you to provide your own AI provider API key (e.g. OpenAI) to function.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fix4me. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Accounts

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to notify us immediately at support@fix4me.xyz if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. API Keys and Third-Party Services

Fix4me allows you to connect your own AI provider API key. You are solely responsible for:

  • Complying with your AI provider's terms of service and usage policies
  • Any costs incurred through your API key usage
  • Keeping your API key secure
  • Ensuring the content you process complies with your AI provider's content policies

Fix4me is not responsible for the outputs generated by third-party AI providers, for API key misuse, or for any charges from your AI provider.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Fix4me to:

  • Generate or distribute illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Circumvent rate limits or abuse the Service infrastructure
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Service
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission
  • Use the Service in any way that disrupts or damages its availability

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

6. Plans, Pricing, and Billing

Fix4me offers a Free plan and a Pro plan. Plan details including pricing and request limits are described on our website and are subject to change with reasonable notice.

  • Free plan: 15 AI requests per day at no cost.
  • Pro plan: Unlimited requests for $7.9/month (or as otherwise stated at checkout).

All payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your payment card details. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis — contact support@fix4me.xyz.

7. Intellectual Property

The Fix4me name, logo, extension, and website are owned by Fix4me and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal or internal business purposes.

Text you process through Fix4me remains your property. We claim no ownership over any content you input or receive as output.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • AI-generated outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

You assume full responsibility for verifying AI-generated content before using it professionally or publishing it.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fix4me shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or goodwill. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Fix4me in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the settings page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where possible.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.
